About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a night-shift assignment in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and prior travel experience to support patient care across medical-surgical units. Unit Details Adult Medical-Surgical Unit Nurse-to-patient ratios on nights: 1:5 to 1:6 Floating may be required within scope of practice at unit leadership discretion
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (New York State)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience (required)
- BLS certification
- EPIC EMR experience (required)
- Ability to float within scope of practice
- Local candidates not accepted
- Candidates must reside outside a defined regional radius
- Applicants with primary residence in designated nearby counties are not eligible
- Flu vaccination required during flu season
- Medical or religious exemptions must be submitted in advance for approval

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Perform accurate assessments, medication administration, and patient monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
- Document care and interventions accurately within the electronic medical record
- Adapt to floating assignments as needed based on census and patient acuity
