About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) to join a leading healthcare facility in Rochester, NY . In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac and stroke-related conditions while continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and supporting complex medical needs. The RN will collaborate closely with physicians, patient care technicians (PCTs), and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols.
Perform phlebotomy and IV placement , which are required competencies for all RNs at the facility.
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and dysrhythmias , responding promptly to any clinical changes.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and Rapid Response Teams during patient emergencies.
Provide and manage oxygen therapy using nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and portable oxygen tanks.
Perform peripheral line care and maintenance .
Adhere to infection control policies and isolation precautions to ensure patient and staff safety.
Assist with non-invasive airway management when necessary.
Safely support patient mobility using assistive equipment such as Hoyer lifts .
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system .
