About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Wesson 3 Medical Surgical Renal team. Wesson 3 contains 24 beds and 12 telemetry monitors and services a wide variety of patients aged 22 to 100+ with common diagnoses that may include: Renal/Dialysis patients, sepsis, cellulitis, behavioral health, GI bleed, transplant (kidney), syncope/respiratory. The position is part-time, day shift (7a-7p) with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The location is Baystate Medical Center Springfield.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• AND required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Wesson 3 Medical Surgical Renal unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
