About The Position

A healthcare facility in Lawton, OK is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, injuries, and post-surgical recovery needs. The RN will play a key role in monitoring patient recovery, administering treatments, and supporting rehabilitation while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Oklahoma or Compact State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions and post-surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as prescribed
• Assist with post-operative care for joint replacements, fractures, and orthopedic surgeries
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and mobility support
• Educate patients on recovery plans, mobility techniques, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the medical record
• Follow all patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
