Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Observation
About The Position
UH Parma 3 Medical is an 18 bed unit. Patient ratio is 1:4-6. This is a Med Surg and Tele Observation unit. Many diagnoses; chest pain, nausea/vomiting, confusion, fall, stroke like symptoms, UTI, weakness, dizziness etc. Our unit has a broad range of experiences and age group of staff members with all different backgrounds. we see many different diagnoses and we have fast turnover with our patients. Up to $8,000 Sign on Bonus offered! Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Requirements
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
Nice To Haves
- (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- (MN) Master in Nursing (Preferred)

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
