About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Travel Assignment in a Medical-Surgical Unit located in Utica, New York, United States. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse with strong med-surg and post-operative care experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role is for a Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week), with a start date of Mid-June 2026. It is a Travel Assignment with required floating and no guaranteed block scheduling. The unit is Medical-Surgical (MS) – 6th Floor, Department MVHS – Wynn Nursing Med Surg (Unit 2000270), caring for adult patients with common diagnoses such as post-surgical care including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric (morbid obesity) cases. The clinical focus is post-operative recovery and general medical-surgical nursing care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience required
- Travel experience is required
- Must have experience clearly documented in resume
- Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS
- Must provide: Updated resume with MS and travel experience
- Skills checklist matching Med-Surg specialty
- Driver’s license with matching address and demographics
- NURSYS verification report
- RTO (Requested Time Off) submitted at time of application
- EPIC EMR experience required
