This position is referral eligible! Medical Surgical Acute Care 6 is a 39-bed acuity adaptable medical and progressive level of care unit. Of the 39 beds, 6 include progressive care level unit rooms. Our primary focus is on gastrointestinal procedures while also including ENT and GYN. Nurses are trained to care for a variety of medical/surgical patients presenting with COPD, chest pain, dehydration, sepsis, COVID, and other conditions. Schedule is: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00am-6:30pm! This position is referral eligible!

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a medical surgical acute care setting.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Manage time effectively and communicate with team members.
  • Demonstrate accountability and delegation skills.
  • Participate in team outings and learning experiences.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
