How you’ll make an impact in this role Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Commitment to spiritually centered, holistic care and collaborative, open-communication team culture. Active participation in multidisciplinary rounding and care planning, supported by strong mentorship and professional development The Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU) is an intermediary step between ICU and the medical units. This is a 44 bed unit known for its cohesiveness and dedication to patient outcomes. Our patient population is a large variety of diagnosed patients with multiple co-morbidity's: Adult Respiratory Failure, COPD, DKA, Dysrhythmias requiring continuous infusion and cardiac monitoring, Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage, Hypertensive Crisis, Liver Failure, Overdose or withdrawal, Pneumonia, Renal Failure, Sepsis, Unstable Angina and NSTEMI. Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
