This is a 36-bed medical-surgical & telemetry unit with a subpopulation of oncology, chemotherapy, and end-of-life care. For new graduates, this TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6-month residency program to support your transition to practice. Program includes: Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards with in-person sessions utilizing case studies, gaming, simulation, and skills labs Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines Hands-on experience alongside a trained nurse preceptor Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe, protected environment A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses) .
