Our medical intercare unit offers elbow-to-elbow support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide for our patients! The unit frequently cares for trached vent dependent patients as well as Bipap/CPap rescue needs and Hi Flow O2 delivery systems. This unit is supported by a nurse educator as well as an evening clinical nurse coordinator, and is also supported around the clock by respiratory therapy and APP/MD on site, as well as ancillary support.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• AND required; BSN preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical stepdown or telemetry unit.
• Certification in specialty areas such as ACLS or PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in continuous education and training programs.
