About The Position

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Group at Highland Park Hospital. This is a part-time role requiring 32 hours per week with various start times between 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM from Monday to Thursday, and 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM on Fridays. The role may involve weekly travel to the Skokie Hospital office and the possibility of remote work once the probationary period is completed.

Requirements

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required.
• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required.
• 1 year of nursing experience in an office or hospital setting required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care services under the direction of the Physicians and Practice Manager.
• Manage telephone triage for patients, assessing symptoms and patient needs, providing medical advice, guidance, and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Inform patients of test results, provide medication refills, convey patient plans of care, prior authorizations, and charting in Epic (EMR).
• Collaborate with the Urogynecology team to ensure quality care and positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with office protocols.
• Provide clear communication with both patients and medical team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Handle a high volume of calls/messages in a timely and efficient manner.
• Answer patient inquiries and address concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Assist with patient education regarding treatments and procedures performed.
• Schedule office appointments.
• Under supervision of the physician, assist/perform in-office procedures when required.
