Organization: VUH 6CCT Cardiac ICU Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. . We are located on the 5th floor of Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH). As of November 2025, our unit will be moving to 7CCT (Critical Care Tower) at VUH. Cardiology, advanced heart failure therapy, transplant evaluation and rejection, ACS, post complex cath lab procedures, post arrest, and cardiac devices such as IABP, Impella, Pulmonary Artery Catheters, EKOS, and VADs.
