About The Position

Full Time Nights 7pm-7:30am with rotating weekends. CDH Medical Care Center (4 A/B/C) 72 bed unit serving adult general medical and medical oncology patients. Patient population includes young adults (age 18) to geriatric. Adult medical: The majority of patients are admitted with gastrointestinal disorders and heart or lung conditions ranging from acute episodes to chronic. Others diagnoses include; uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, as well as secondary conditions such as kidney disease or diabetes. Medical Oncology: Medical Oncology patients and palliative/hospice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Strong analytic abilities
• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
