About The Position

We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated Med Surg RN to join a high-volume 46-bed unit with a 6:1 ratio. This unit serves a variety of medical and post-surgical patients, offering exposure to diverse cases, including some telemetry and overflow care. This is a great opportunity for RNs looking to build expertise in medical-surgical nursing in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license or multistate compact license (required)
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (acute care preferred; LTACH, home health, rehab considered)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care to medical and post-surgical patients
• Administer medications, monitor conditions, and document care accurately
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and recovery plans
• Anticipate and respond to patient needs in a timely and compassionate manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
