The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. Utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—the RN delivers direct patient care while maintaining professional standards and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care within the scope of practice, addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients.
  • Direct and guide patient and family education to promote understanding, compliance, and self-care.
  • Supervise and support other nursing personnel in the delivery of patient care activities.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to patient condition changes or treatment responses, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and follow established protocols and policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
