Registered Nurse - Med Surg, Pavilion 7
About The Position
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Pavilion 7 is a medical-surgical unit that has a specialty focus on both orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. This 30-bed unit features 8 beds designed for our stroke population as part of Cooper University's Comprehensive Stroke Center, as well as 3 EMU beds for seizure monitoring. Telemetry monitoring is available in 10 of the unit beds when needed. The nursing staff provides caring, individualized attention to all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with collaborative interdisciplinary team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS).
