About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works as a contributing member of the Med/Surg Department at our main hospital campus. They will provide professional nursing care, treatment, counseling, and health education to assigned inpatients. The RN works as a part of a health care team and plans in conjunction with physicians and other care team members. Monitors vital signs and administers medications, including intravenous medications, with input from the care team. Supports patients with bandage care, pain management, and ensuring they rest, drink fluids, and eat properly. Tracks patient progress, updates medical records, and communicates with doctors as needed. Educates patients and stands up for them when necessary. Helps maintain health and prevents illnesses, injuries, and disabilities. Completes various tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado
  • Must have current BLS card upon hire
  • Position also requires ACLS, PALS or ENPC certification within 6 months of initial employment
  • All required certifications must maintain current status throughout GRHD employment
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting
