About The Position

Our rural Critical Access Hospital is committed to providing excellent, compassionate care close to home. Our MedSurg unit cares for patients with a wide variety of conditions, offering nurses the opportunity to practice broad, well-rounded skills in a supportive environment.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg team on a PRN (as needed) basis. The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborate with providers and staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (or ability to obtain).
• MedSurg or acute care experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to medical and surgical patients across the lifespan.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and response to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and hospital policy.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
