About The Position

A reputable Level I Trauma Center in Kansas City is seeking caring and motivated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses to join a high-performing Med/Surg team. This role provides the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population—including medical, surgical, cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, and nephrology patients—while expanding your clinical skills in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute-care RN experience (recent experience not required).
• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Missouri or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments in accordance with standards of care and disease-specific protocols.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care and delegate appropriately to non-licensed staff per scope of practice.
• Deliver patient and family education, including emotional and cultural support tailored to individual needs.
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
