About The Position

As a Registered Nurse you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the practitioner orders; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals and others; to perform related duties as assigned. Work Schedule: 0.6 FTE nights with every other weekend

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.
  • Licensed as an RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
  • Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
  • Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
  • Those without telemetry experience: Completion of telemetry course within 1 year of start date.
  • Those with telemetry experience: Completion of competency validation.

Nice To Haves

  • Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
  • Specialty Certification in the RN’s area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
