About The Position
We are seeking qualified Med/Surg Registered Nurses to support the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is part of a critical staffing initiative to maintain high-quality patient care during the VA’s transition to the new Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting and work closely with the interdisciplinary team to support veteran care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
- Current Ohio RN license or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association vendor
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Document care accurately and timely in accordance with VA standards
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
