About the department Bassett Medical Center's Inpatient Surgical Unit is a 46-bed unit. Our staff exemplifies teamwork, and we want you to join our team! We provide quality patient care to a wide variety of post-operative patients ranging from orthopedic, neurology, urology, general GI, plastics, vascular, bariatric, and more. You will learn and refine skills, and become an expert on wound care/vacs, NG tubes, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and CAPD to name a few. The Inpatient Surgical unit is consistently hiring for Registered Nurses with various shift and position types available. What you'll do The Registered Professional Nurse III, Acute Care is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient's needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork. The RN III is accountable to assure that care provided is consistent with applicable standards, regulations, statutes and state, federal law. Serves as a resource for other staff and clinicians as required.
