About The Position

BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking experienced med surg/tele nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate staffing resource office team. Our staffing resource office offers a variety of assignment options including: Regional Float Pool- PRN with a minimum commitment of 4 shifts in a 6-week schedule to include 2 weekend shifts, and a summer, winter holiday, and hard to fill staffing day requirement. Required to float to a region of hospitals based on census needs. Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay Hospitals. Region 2 includes St Joseph's Main, St Joseph's North, St Joseph's South and Wesley Chapel Hospitals. System Pool offers a 13-week full-time assignment for assigned department and hospital with unit provided schedule, while the Seasonal Pool offers a 13-week assignment for assigned department and hospital with unit provided schedule. Mileage requirement for seasonal position which is offered Nov-Mar each season. Address on driver's license will determine eligibility.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/ACLS (AHA) certification.
• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• 18 months RN experience in an acute Med/Surg/Tele setting.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute Med/Surg/Tele setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Med/Surg/Tele setting.
• Float to various hospitals based on census needs.
• Commit to a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6-week schedule including weekend shifts.
• Complete required training and pass Tele test during orientation.
