About The Position

Southwest General Health Center is a 352-bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. One of the last standing community hospitals in Northeast Ohio, we partner with University Hospitals and other local community organizations to provide a full range of services to all who need us. We are certified as a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center, and have been serving our community for over 100 years!

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• New grads welcome to apply; medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• CPR and BLS certification required; ACLS certification required within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and direct patient care and teaching utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders.
• Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families, collaborating with other health care members.
• Assist in the orientation process of new personnel.
• Participate in health center and department committees.
