About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Med/Surg ICU for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx , NY.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Medical/Surgical experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of conscious sedation experience.
• Current and valid New York State RN License required.
• Primary Source Verification of license and registration from the NYS Department of Education.
• Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical ICU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and provide interventions as required.
• Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation in accordance with clinical standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data to ensure appropriate clinical decisions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery processes, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
• Uphold infection control practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
