Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team. The Med/Surg Float RN is for an experienced nurse willing to float between our intermediate care unit and Med/Surg units. You must be progressive care trained (chest tubes, cardizem gtt, amiodarone gtt., etc.). We are the tertiary care site for Ascension so all specialty and high acuity patients are sent to our campus. The Float Nurse needs to be flexible with assignments to accommodate what patients we have incoming. There is flexibility with weekends and holidays.
