Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN is desirable.
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Two or more years of acute RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills in the care of young adult, adult, geriatric, medical, surgical patients.
  • Delivers care based on age-appropriate criteria and the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of individual patients.
  • Floats to areas other than assigned service area and performs only those duties for which competency has been demonstrated.
  • Performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center.
  • Performs lab testing as assigned based on protocol of each test, documenting results and communicating critical results as defined.
  • Completes competency as required and follows lab testing safety guidelines, maintenance and QC completion/documentation, and proficiency testing as assigned.
  • Follows 'good lab practice' in testing and initiates corrective action as issues occur with test system or result.
