About The Position

This position will perform and coordinate nursing care to patients in multiple specialized nursing units as assigned on a daily basis according to standards. May cover extended leaves of absence and/or excessive vacancies. Opportunities may include the ability to work from 2 to 6 weeks on a unit then rotate to another unit. Will work under the supervision of a Director and Associate Director. May assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise individual patient care according to standards. Will accept responsibility for direction of fellow caregivers in the implementation of plans of care. May be required to work on multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Orthopedic, Oncology, Overflow, Behavioral Annex, Rapid Observation, and Step-Down. Will provide exceptional service to all patients, visitors plus external and internal customers. Will be adaptable and competent to an assignment on a Medical-Surgical and/or Step-Down Unit. This position works under the supervision of a Director and Associate Director. and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing is required OR BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure in stated, depending upon designated work location is required.
• Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire is required.
• Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention CPI within 1 year of hire and Other classes, certifications, and education as assigned by organization or leaders is required.
• 1 year Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessment/reassessment of patient and documents in medical record.
• Analyzes the information collected to determine patient's needs and expected outcomes.
• Develops and implements plan of care based upon the assessment, diagnosis, and expected outcomes of patient.
• Oversees the delegation of the plan to other licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Ensures a discharge plan is part of the individualized plan of care as appropriate to the population served.
• Other duties as assigned
