Our team at Prairie Lakes makes a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones. Full-time( 0.9 Status or 36hrs per week) and Part-time( 0.6 status or 24hrs per week) positions available. Wage: $32.00-$49.46 POSITION SUMMARY Delivers comprehensive nursing care to antenatal, postpartum, nursery, and labor and delivery patients following established standards, policies, procedures, licensure, and scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Applies the nursing process in care provision and documentation, identifying unique conditions, and exercising initiative and judgment for appropriate responses.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments following established nursing techniques.
- Completes nursing assessments and establishes nursing priorities.
- Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient, family, and co-worker instruction.
- Initiates consultation as appropriate throughout the progression of care.
- Receives, transcribes, and executes physician orders.
- Accepts the responsibility to provide quality, safe patient care in adherence to patient care needs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
