About The Position

The position is within the Maternal Child Health department, requiring the nurse to work three 12-hour shifts primarily during the day and night, with every other weekend, rotating holidays, and on-call shifts. The role involves providing professional nursing care while adhering to legal nursing responsibilities as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure and other state licensure as required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification must be obtained within the 6-month introductory period.
• Minimum one year of Labor & Delivery or Obstetrical experience.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience.
• Two years of Maternal Child Health/Labor & Delivery/Obstetrical experience.
• Certification in the specialty area of Maternal Child Health.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Maternal Child Health department.
• Practice legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Work three 12-hour shifts, primarily during days and nights, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
• Be available for on-call shifts as required.
