About The Position

The Nurse Manager at Lake County Health Department will lead the Women's Health team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality care for women of all ages. This role combines administrative responsibilities with direct patient care, focusing on optimizing client flow and implementing best practices in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum five years of professional nursing experience.
• Two years' clinical supervisory experience, preferably in a medical practice setting.
• Current American Health Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations related to care team responsibilities.
• Supervise Medical Assistants (MA) and Registered Nurses (RN).
• Ensure appropriate assessment, treatment, and documentation of client health.
• Serve as a problem-solving resource for staff on client issues.
• Analyze data related to client outcomes and quality assurance results.
• Propose opportunities for improvement to the Practice Manager and Health Center Medical Director.
• Ensure appropriate staffing of care teams and collaborate with peers for coverage.
• Perform monthly documentation audits on client records.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on recruiting and training new staff.
• Lead monthly one-on-one meetings and care team meetings.
