Nurse Manager - Infection Prevention & Staff Development (RN) Full-Time | Day Shift (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) Cascades at St. Anne | Seattle, WA Cascades at St. Anne is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Seattle, WA. We are currently hiring a full-time Nurse Manager specializing in Infection Prevention and Staff Development to help lead clinical excellence across our nursing team.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing (Washington)
  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of infection prevention standards , CDC guidance, and regulatory compliance
  • Willingness to learn and apply local, state, and federal regulations related to long-term care

Responsibilities

  • Infection Prevention Serve as the facility's Infection Preventionist , overseeing infection control practices and surveillance
  • Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with CDC and state regulations
  • Track, trend, and report infection data; lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans as needed
  • Educate staff on proper PPE usage, hand hygiene, isolation protocols, and outbreak response
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, providers, and public health agencies during infection-related events
  • Staff Development & Education Lead new hire nursing orientation , clinical onboarding, and ongoing competency validation
  • Develop and deliver continuing education and in-service training for nursing staff
  • Identify performance gaps and implement targeted education plans
  • Support CNA and nurse skill development to improve clinical outcomes and retention
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
  • Nursing Leadership & Clinical Support Support bedside nursing care as needed to ensure safe, high-quality resident care
  • Ensure compliance with care plans, physician orders, and facility policies
  • Assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory readiness
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and resident-centered care
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring resident preferences and dignity are upheld
  • Core Nursing Duties (as needed) Administering medications and treatments as ordered
  • Monitoring resident condition and communicating changes to physicians and families
  • Providing skilled nursing interventions including wound care, catheterization, tube feedings, and monitoring of acutely ill residents
  • Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
