About The Position

Registered Nurse - Surgery/Main OR Full Time Day Shift - TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital - $5k Sign-On Bonus! Location: 10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242 Work Schedule: Full Time Days - (72-80 hours bi-weekly) Call is every 4th weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) Two holiday shifts per year Six week scheduling period with 3-4 nights of call during that time frame Join a surgical team where excellence thrives and your skills are truly valued. Our high ‑ volume Operating Room is home to surgeons who want to be here, supported by a busy and dynamic environment with a full range of specialties—including urology, gynecology, vascular, heavy neuro, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, eyes, and a leading robotic surgery program. With 20 state-of-the-art OR suites (17 ORs, 2 hybrids, and a dedicated cysto room) and an average of 35–40 cases per day , you will experience exceptional clinical variety and continuous growth. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required)
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant OR/Surgery RN experience (Strongly preferred)
  • Registered Nurse licensure (Required)
  • ACLS PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient ‑ centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self ‑ assessment.
  • Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
