About The Position
Job Overview • Job Title: Registered Nurse – Main OR / Surgery Services • Job Type: Contract/Travel • Location: Chico, CA • Service Setting: Hospital – Level II Trauma Facility • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Start Date: 10/14/2025 • Duration: 13 weeks • Schedule: Day Shift, 6:30 AM start, 12-hour shifts, 36 guaranteed hours/week • Rate: $74/hour Patient Information • Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics • Case Mix: General Surgery, Ortho, Trauma, and other standard Main OR surgical cases; may float to Outpatient Surgery Facility Information • No. of Beds in Facility: 150–500 (hospital-wide) • Trauma Level: Level 2 • EMR System: EPIC • Office Equipment Available: Standard OR equipment (TBD) • Specialty Backup Available: Full surgical team, anesthesia, trauma services • Support Staff Available: Surgeons, Surgical Techs, Anesthesia Team, OR RNs • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental staffing needs
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS; CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years perioperative/OR experience
- Ability to float to outpatient surgery; experience in Level II trauma OR preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Main OR and outpatient surgery areas
- Circulate during surgical procedures
- Maintain sterile field and surgical safety standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs
- Document patient care in EPIC EMR
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned
