About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Long Term Care coordinates patient care services as directed. This role measures, evaluates, administers, and documents patient care while contributing to individualized patient care plans. The RN informs the Long Term Care Manager or House Supervisor when appropriate and provides direction and assigns duties to CNAs and LPNs in accordance with their skills and abilities. The RN actively responds to requests from patients, physicians, and families and advocates for and ensures that patient rights are upheld.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Nevada
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a long term care or similar healthcare setting preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Strong organizational and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate medication and treatment management
  • Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with examinations and treatments
  • Ability to lift, walk, carry, and stand for extended periods
  • Perform duties in accordance with required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and standards
