As a Registered Nurse Level IV, you will leverage your clinical expertise and leadership skills to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor to fellow team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care on the unit. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is a 9-bed, high-acuity medical-surgical unit dedicated to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients. Our unit serves a diverse population presenting with a broad spectrum of acute medical and post-operative conditions, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment ideal for experienced critical care professionals seeking to elevate their clinical practice. This specialized unit is designed to support both medical and surgical critically ill patients requiring continuous, comprehensive monitoring and intervention. Nurses and healthcare professionals on our team manage complex cases involving respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, sepsis, acute neurological events, and more. Our ICU functions as a core component of the hospital’s emergency and acute care services, often caring for patients with rapidly evolving conditions that require immediate and coordinated multidisciplinary care.
