About The Position
The Registered Nurse – LDRP provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients. This role requires strong clinical expertise, flexibility, and the ability to function independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team. Travelers are expected to integrate seamlessly and function at the same level as core staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience (Required)
- Degree accreditation must be listed on profile OR candidate must have 5+ years of RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP
- Floating Required – Travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses
- 50-mile radius rule applies from permanent address
- Call Required (12 hours per month)
- Culture fit is critical; travelers are expected to perform as core staff
Responsibilities
- Provide care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum settings
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Deliver postpartum and newborn care, including patient education
- Accurately document all care in the Epic EMR system
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide newborn resuscitation as needed
- Float as required within the facility and to affiliated campuses
