About The Position

The Registered Nurse LDRP Birth Care Center PRN at Wesley Medical Center is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a specialized birthing center. Requirements

• Current licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care for the department-specific patient population.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality of care activities.
• Collaborate with patients, significant others, and healthcare providers in providing and advocating for patient care.
• Monitor the patient's progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
• Participate in the improvement of operational functions of the department.
• Consider safety and cost-effectiveness when delivering patient care.
• Secure, administer, and handle medication according to established guidelines.
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify, interpret, and access appropriate resources in patient-specific scenarios.
