This full-time Registered Nurse position is located in the Launch Recovery Unit at Advocate South Suburban Hospital, offering 40 hours per week with a primary 12-hour day shift (8:00 am - 8:30 pm) and a Saturday rotation. The role is benefits-eligible and requires an ACLS certification, with a preference for at least 2 years of pre/post procedural, telemetry, or critical care experience. The nurse will be responsible for applying the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring patient and family engagement throughout the care continuum. Key duties include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role also involves administering medications, treatments, and therapies according to protocols, demonstrating effective communication and delegation, pursuing professional development, and adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics. Nurses must maintain accurate EHR documentation and may be required to float to other units or facilities within the service area. The position demands knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles across the lifespan.
