Registered Nurse- Lactation Consultant Full Time Days
About The Position
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus POSITION SUMMARY Performs a wide variety of patient care activities in regards to breastfeeding and human lactation and accommodation services for assigned hospital unit and patients as directed in relationship to designated position. Our purpose in the Women’s Center is to promote a philosophy of maternal and infant care which advocates breastfeeding and supports the normal physiological functions involved in this maternal-infant process. Our goal is to assure that all families who elect to breastfeed their infants will have a successful and satisfying experience.
Requirements
- RN required
- Post Partum or Nursery Experience Strongly preferred
- BLS
- Certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examinees or Lactation Consultant
- CIBLC or LC
- Required certifications are to be completed by 3 months of employment
- Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
