About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a Family Birthplace unit. This is a Baby-Friendly facility where nurses are cross-trained across multiple OB-related roles. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing high-acuity obstetric patients and newborn care responsibilities. Unit Overview: LDRP model with nursery responsibilities Nurses cross-trained in: Labor & Delivery Circulator role (C-Section) Acute Care Nursery OB Triage Care for GYN surgery patients RNs perform newborn hearing screenings Medication system: Omnicell Staffing Ratios: 1:1 with active labor patients 1:2 with Cytotec inductions 1:1 with Magnesium patients 1:3 with Couplet (Mother/Baby) care 1:1 if newborn admitted to sick nursery
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- First-time travelers may be considered based on total experience
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC charting experience required
- Active RN State License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate
