About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period. The RN will work collaboratively with obstetricians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child (L&D) experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Associate Degree in Nursing ( ASN/ADN ) from an accredited program
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification through NYSED
BLS Certification (AHA)
ACLS Certification (AHA)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor maternal and fetal status, including vital signs and fetal heart monitoring
Assist with labor management, deliveries, and emergency interventions
Administer medications, IV therapies, and conscious sedation as required
Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care
Document patient care accurately in accordance with hospital standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate care when necessary
