About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a night-shift travel assignment in a busy birth center. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care, while providing safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Active Tennessee RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NRP certification
- AWHONN Intermediate certification
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required ( no first-time travelers )
- Night shift: 3x12-hour schedule
- Weekend coverage required
- On-call coverage required
Responsibilities
- Perform labor triage assessments and ongoing maternal/fetal monitoring
- Assist with inductions, cesarean sections, and external versions
- Conduct NSTs and provide intrapartum nursing care
- Support newborn resuscitation and stabilization
- Administer Magnesium Sulfate and other obstetric medications
- Assist with circumcisions as required
- Document all care accurately using the electronic medical record
- Float to other units as needed, within scope of practice and skill set
