About The Position

We are seeking a qualified LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in LDRP, with a preference for those with 2 years or more. This position requires certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and EFM. The role will initially be a temporary contract for 13 weeks, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. Candidates must be local, and there will be a $10 decrease in pay for the temp-to-perm arrangement. Additionally, candidates must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam, for which a study guide is available.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in LDRP required; 2 years preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and EFM are mandatory.
• Ability to pass the Dysrhythmia Exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the LDRP unit, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Administer medications and IV drips as required, including Magnesium, Pitocin, and ATB.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and fetal heart rates, ensuring safety and comfort during labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with support staff, including OB Techs, Respiratory Therapy, and other departments as needed.
• Perform necessary procedures such as peripheral IV insertions and occasional PICC line placements.
