This is for a 0.9 FTE night shift Labor and Delivery RN Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Requirements

Required Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
American Heart Association BLS
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required within 6 months of hire; (NRP recertification required every 2 years)
Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN approved course) required within 6 months of hire (Not required if a Lactation RN) (FHM recertification required every 2 years)
American Heart Association ACLS required within 1 year of hire (Not required if a Lactation RN)
Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing
Two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire
If Lactation RN: Certification in lactation consulting/counseling (CLC, IBCLC)
Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
Ability to work varied shifts
This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
This position is represented by the Montana Nurse's Association.
