Base salary starts at $34.88 / hr.

Requirements

  • Graduation of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH.
  • Must have current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must obtain within one (1) year of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH if performing circulating or recovery room for C-section, as determined by the Department Director.
  • Must have a current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or must obtain within one (1) year of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH if caring for Pediatrics.
  • Must have current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or must obtain certification during orientation within six (6) months of hire. NRP certification must be maintained throughout employment on the Family Care Unit.
  • Nurses who work in Labor and Delivery must complete the Intermediate Electronic Fetal monitoring class within the first year after completion of orientation.
  • Labor nurses must also complete the Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring Class within three (3) years of completion of labor orientation
  • Annual completion of yearly required CEUs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate effective listening skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.

  • Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.

  • Previous experience in a hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
  • Provides education to patients according to their needs.
  • Transcribes, utilizes and implements protocols and physician orders.
  • Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
