Summary: Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

Requirements

  • Requires two (2) years of college. General knowledge of a specialized or technical field normally associated with an A.A. or A.S. degree.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in specified specialized area of nursing or ability to successfully complete education and training in specified specialty area of nursing.
  • Have a current license issued by New York State to practice as a registered nurse.
  • Obtains neonatal resuscitation within six (6) months of employment.
  • Credentials:RN,BLS
