About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• ASN/ADN required; BSN must be obtained within four years unless exempt.
• Current RN license in the state of Colorado.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required upon hire or within 60 days.
• Additional certifications (ACLS/NRP/PALS) as required by the unit.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with technology and quick to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients' psychological and physical needs, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation, participate in clinical team conferences, and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, track contractions, and identify complications during labor and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with the physician regarding the mother's condition and provide coaching and emotional support throughout labor and postpartum care.
