About The Position

Endeavor Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum care at Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals. This position requires working night shifts, with hours from 2300-0730 and 1900-0730, and includes weekend and holiday requirements as per level agreement. The Per Diem commitment level can vary from Level 1 (32-72 hours) to Level 3 (111-144 hours) per 6-week schedule. The role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, guiding unlicensed assistive personnel, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required.
• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider required (AHA).
• A minimum of two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum required.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
