Organization: IV Therapy Team Job Summary: Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. . SHIFT: This is a steady nights position. The shift is 6: 45p-7:15a. The person in this role will work a 3:2 schedule. They will work three 12-hour shifts the first week and two 12-hour shifts the second week for a total of 60 hours per bi-weekly pay period, to include some weekends. WHAT YOU'LL DO The IV team nurse performs IV placement and phlebotomy in VUH and VMG. This RN position requires critical care nursing skills to support the management of stable and unstable patients for whom they are inserting IVs or performing phlebotomy, teaching and instructing patients on the purpose and care of the line or labs, and communicating with the unit clinical staff and clinicians.   • Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
